Primary Health Network Receives Recognition Badges Through Health Resources and Service Administration
Sharon, PA – For the third consecutive year, Primary Health Network (PHN) received a prestigious Community Health Quality Recognition award from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Each year, HRSA awards Community Health Quality Recognition badges to health centers that have made notable improvements to the quality of their care in the areas of access, quality, health equity, and health information technology.
Since 2021, Primary Health Network has received recognition for its achievements in COVID-19 data reporting, advancing health information technology for quality, and the continued implementation of the Primary Care Medical Home care model.
For more than 50 years, health centers like PHN have delivered affordable, accessible, cost-effective, and quality primary health care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. They advance a model of coordinated, comprehensive, and patient-centered care, integrating a wide range of medical, dental, mental health, substance use disorder, and patient support services. Central to the success of the nation’s health centers are the Health Center Program requirements, which serve as the foundation for quality services and operations.
Health centers like PHN receive federal grant funding from HRSA to maintain and expand operations, and HRSA’s Bureau of Primary Health Care oversees the national health center program. HRSA provides funding to nearly 1,400 health centers that offer services at more than 13,500 delivery sites throughout the United States.
Primary Health Network was recognized for its achievements in Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality. The Advancing HIT for Quality award recognizes health centers that meet all criteria to optimize HIT services that advance telehealth, patient engagement, interoperability, and the collection of social determinants of health to increase access to care and advance the quality of care.
“Our strategy for everything we do centers on the patient. It’s an approach that encompasses quality, engagement, and operational excellence,” said Dr. George Garrow, CEO of PHN. “These badges are a true testament to our employees’ dedication and passion for serving our patients.”
